How to Win Pac-Man 30th Anniversary (Google Doodle)
Pac-Man doesn't have a 'win' state in the traditional sense. The 30th anniversary Doodle uses the original arcade rules: you keep playing until you run out of lives. 'Winning' means reaching the level 256 kill screen (where the game becomes uncompletable) or hitting the maximum possible score of 3,333,360 points.
Define your goal
'Winning' depends on what you mean:
- Beating your previous score — practical for most players.
- Reaching the kill screen — possible with practice over several long sessions.
- Perfect game — 3,333,360 points; takes 6+ hours of flawless play; achieved by fewer than 10 verified players ever.
Practical winning tactics
- Memorize the first-board pattern.
- Chain all four ghosts on every power pellet (3,000 vs 800 points).
- Eat both fruits every level — especially the 5,000-point keys from level 13.
- Don't lose lives early. Bonus lives compound at higher scores.
- Use scatter periods (when ghosts retreat to corners) to grab dots in dangerous areas.

Where to practice
Practice on Classic Pac until you can clear the first three levels reliably. Then move to Flash Pac or the Google Doodle for the longer-term game.
